As you will be aware, the NASUWT's indicative vote commenced in March. We strongly encourage you to cast a YES vote in support of our ongoing effort for a fully funded pay raise exceeding inflation, to help address the real terms decline in teaching pay over the last ten years.

Our action last year forced the government to improve its 2023 -24 offer for teachers by 3% to 6.5% and commit an extra £3 billion for education.   In addition, the Government also agreed to key concessions on work load and performance related pay.  We all know how hard things are in education at the moment, but the government chose to ignore the problems at the Budget last week. It looks certain that teachers will receive a 1% pay rise and there will be no new money for schools. Now we need to tell the Government, that there is a crisis in education that needs to be urgently addressed.

We do this by showing we are willing to take industrial action again. Please help us send this message by voting in the indicative ballot. If you wish to ask any questions please sign up for the joint NASUWT / NEU members' Pay Up briefing on Wednesday, March 13th, at 6:30 PM on Zoom:
